Wolves told to get on with it
UEFA denied Wolves request to have their game on Thursday cancelled due to the corona virus. Stated it would put team, family and friends at risk. All the better for us on Sunday.

An Italian Hammer on Hammers United Facebook page managed to get a refund for his Chelsea tickets, as his flight to England was cancelled, so beware of low flying pigs.

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
I can't see them providing 60,000 unique links, so anyone will be able to watch it and it's those who have paid that get shafted.

The likes of LEICESTER CITY would refund their fans because they actually care about them. We'd get nothing more than club cash, to be used only on whatever shit they can't shift in the club shop.

MLS is suspended for 30 days.

Unfortunately can't be far away can it?

How much more effective would it be if the game was behind closed doors, but yet there was still a march with 8000 fans going on outside!

This is what it's like for West Ham behind closed doors:

Yogi, yeah that sounds about right

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
They might class it as an "Act of God" therefore no money refunded?

Most businesses are going to be fucked aren't they.

Mate runs a pub, if they stop showing games, pubs going to be very quiet.

Cough - maybe they'd stream via the OS and you'd have to enter your membership number

Lee Trundle 10:53 Thu Mar 12
Re: Wolves told to get on with it
I guess that they'd send out a link for every ticket holder to watch it on?

You're right about it opening a can of worms, Manuel.

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
Won't ST across the country have a right to ask for some monies refunded? Could be a can of worms this.

Trunds, how will that work then?

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
Sky and BT will still broadcast their games. People who have tickets for the games will be allowed to watch it via a stream.

I think that's the proposals?

fraser - Yes I saw that, so maybe that answers my Q.

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
The season should be suspended and if things don't improve within a certain timeframe then it should be declared void.

The thought of the Euro's going ahead is unthinkable. Can you imagine that being staged behind closed doors.

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
I vaguely remember seeing an article saying they would allow 3pms to be televised

Manuel 10:34 Thu Mar 12
Re: Wolves told to get on with it
So an announcement expected today that all games in England are to be played behind a closed door until further notice? And not to be shown in boozers.

Will SKY and BT still broadcast their games, anyone know?

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
Those lower league teams are hand to mouth.
Some like Bolton , Southend & Macclesfield are probably bankrupt now and if a month or more of games disappear most in those leagues will struggle to pay their players wages.
No income til next season and you’d have 30 plus teams out of business

Re: Wolves told to get on with it
If Sky money truncated, GSB would probably see it as a great opportunity for an "emergency loan" to WHUFC at an extortionate interest rate.
